Tom Kingsbery Scholarship

The Tom Kingsbery Memorial Scholarship fund was established by Coleman County Telephone Cooperative in 1999 in memory of Tom Kingsbery, who served on the Cooperative board of directors for over 35 years. It was the desire of Mr. Kingsbery’s family to provide some financial assistance for second and third year college students.

The Cooperative sets aside money each year for this Scholarship Fund, which is awarded to 2nd-year or 3rd-year college students in the Cooperative's service area. CCTC announces the recipients of The Tom Kingsbery Memorial Scholarship at its annual meeting each August.

Four Coleman county college students have been named as the 2010 recipients of the Tom Kingsbery Memorial Scholarships on Friday, August 20 at the Civic Center in Santa Anna, Texas. Roddy Dean, a director of the Cooperative and a member of the scholarship committee, made the presentations.

The selection committee was very impressed with the hard work and dedication exhibited by each of these young people as they pursue their education and career goals. The Cooperative would like to extend congratulations and best wishes to each of these well-deserving students.

The students, each receiving a $1,500 scholarship, are Matthew Allen, son of Donny and Gloria Allen, a student at Clarendon College, Molly Pritchard, daughter of Mike and Mary Pritchard, attending Angelo State University, Meagan Ogden, daughter of Scott and Sheila Ogden, a student at Texas A & M University, and Caylie Robinett, daughter of David and Shelley Robinett, attending Angelo State University.
